The four and five year old year is traditionally seen as the stepping stone to kindergarten and our goals include solidifying basic concepts as well as exposing children to increased levels of number and letter skills including counting, sequencing, and early writing.
In addition, we present many experiences in art, science and music, following The Creative Curriculum. Themes and special work areas allow children to increase their knowledge in a developmentally appropriate way, in alignment with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards.
Physical coordination comes a long way during this important year and social skills do as well with children focused more on seeing other’s viewpoint, sharing, negotiating, and communicating.
